अपापचेतसं पापॊ य एवं कृतवान नलम तस्माद दुःखतरं पराप्य जीवत्व असुखजीविकाम ॥ ३-६०-१६ ॥
'Let that wicked one who has brought such suffering upon Nala, a heart untainted by sin, lead a more wretched life, burdened with even greater miseries.' ॥ 3-60-16 ॥
english translation
एवं तु विलपन्ती सा राज्ञॊ भार्या महात्मनः अन्वेषति सम भर्तारं वने शवापदसेविते ॥ ३-६०-१७ ॥
'Thus lamenting, the regal consort of the illustrious king began her search for her lord in the forest, teeming with predatory beasts.' ॥ 3-60-17 ॥
english translation
उन्मत्तवद भीमसुता विलपन्ती ततस ततः हा हा राजन्न इति मुहुर इतश चेतश च धावति ॥ ३-६०-१८ ॥
'And the daughter of Bhima, wailing bitterly, roamed restlessly like a madwoman, crying out, 'Alas! Alas! O king!'' ॥ 3-60-18 ॥
english translation
तां शुष्यमाणाम अत्यर्थं कुररीम इव वाशतीम करुणं बहु शॊचन्तीं विलपन्तीं मुहुर मुहुः ॥ ३-६०-१९ ॥
'As she wailed loudly like a female osprey, grieving and engaging in endless lamentations, she drew near a gigantic serpent.' ॥ 3-60-19 ॥

सहसाभ्यागतां भैमीम अभ्याशपरिवर्तिनीम जग्राहाजगरॊ गराहॊ महाकायः कषुधान्वितः ॥ ३-६०-२० ॥
'That enormous, hungry serpent then suddenly seized Bhima's daughter, who had ventured too close and was moving within its reach.' ॥ 3-60-20 ॥
