यस्याविभक्तं वसु राजन सहायैस; तस्य दुःखे ऽपय अंशभाजः सहायाः सहायानाम एष संग्रहणे ऽभयुपायः; सहायाप्तौ पृथिवी पराप्तिम आहुः ।। ३-६-२० ।।

sanskrit

'He who enjoys his prosperity with his supporters finds them to be loyal even in adversity. This is the best way to gain loyal followers, and it is said that one who has loyal adherents wins the sovereignty of the world.' ।। 3-6-20 ।।

english translation

yasyAvibhaktaM vasu rAjana sahAyaisa; tasya duHkhe 'paya aMzabhAjaH sahAyAH sahAyAnAma eSa saMgrahaNe 'bhayupAyaH; sahAyAptau pRthivI parAptima AhuH || 3-6-20 ||
