येषाम अहं लॊककृताम ईश्वराणां महात्मनाम न पादरजसा तुल्यॊ मनस ते तेषु वर्तताम ॥ ३-५३-६ ॥
'Turn your heart instead to those high-souled lords, the creators of the worlds, whose feet I am unworthy to touch.' ॥ 3-53-6 ॥

विप्रियं हय आचरन मर्त्यॊ देवानां मृत्युम ऋच्छति तराहि माम अनवद्याङ्गि वरयस्व सुरॊत्तमान ॥ ३-५३-७ ॥
'Displeasing the gods, a mortal meets his end. Save me, O flawless one! Choose from among the all-excelling celestials.' ॥ 3-53-7 ॥

ततॊ बाष्पकलां वाचं दमयन्ती शुचिस्मिता परव्याहरन्ती शनकैर नलं राजानम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-५३-८ ॥
'Then Damayanti, with a pure smile, controlling her voice choked with tears, slowly addressed King Nala, saying:' ॥ 3-53-8 ॥

अस्त्य उपायॊ मया दृष्टॊ निरपायॊ नरेश्वर येन दॊषॊ न भविता तव राजन कथं चन ॥ ३-५३-९ ॥
'O lord of men, I have seen a faultless plan, By which, O king, no blame shall come to you in any way.' ॥ 3-53-9 ॥

तवं चैव हि नरश्रेष्ठ देवाश चाग्निपुरॊगमाः आयान्तु सहिताः सर्वे मम यत्र सवयंवरः ॥ ३-५३-१० ॥
'O lord of men, I perceive a flawless path by which no sin shall befall you. O king, as the foremost of mortals, come to the Swayamvara accompanied by all the gods, led by Indra.' ॥ 3-53-10 ॥
