तच छरुत्वा नृपतिर भीमॊ दमयन्तीसखीगणात चिन्तयाम आस तत कार्यं सुमहत सवां सुतां परति ॥ ३-५१-६ ॥
'Hearing about this from Damayanti's handmaids, King Bhima took the matter concerning his daughter's well-being very seriously.' ॥ 3-51-6 ॥
english translation
स समीक्ष्य महीपालः सवां सुतां पराप्तयौवनाम अपश्यद आत्मनः कार्यं दमयन्त्याः सवयंवरम ॥ ३-५१-७ ॥
'He wondered to himself, "Why does my daughter appear to be unwell?" Reflecting on her coming of age, the king concluded that it was time for Damayanti's swayamvara to be arranged.' ॥ 3-51-7 ॥
english translation
स संनिपातयाम आस महीपालान विशां पते अनुभूयताम अयं वीराः सवयंवर इति परभॊ ॥ ३-५१-८ ॥
'The monarch, O exalted one, invited all the rulers of the earth, declaring, "O heroes, be aware that Damayanti's swayamvara is approaching."' ॥ 3-51-8 ॥

शरुत्वा तु पार्थिवाः सर्वे दमयन्त्याः सवयंवरम अभिजग्मुस तदा भीमं राजानॊ भीमशासनात ॥ ३-५१-९ ॥
'All the kings, upon hearing of Damayanti's swayamvara, arrived at Bhima's invitation.' ॥ 3-51-9 ॥

हस्त्यश्वरथघॊषेण नादयन्तॊ वसुंधराम विचित्रमाल्याभरणैर बलैर दृश्यैः सवलंकृतैः ॥ ३-५१-१० ॥
'Filling the land with the sound of their chariots, the trumpeting of elephants, and the neighing of horses.' ॥ 3-51-10 ॥
