बरह्मण्यॊ वेदविच छूरॊ निषधेषु महीपतिः अक्षप्रियः सत्यवादी महान अक्षौहिणीपतिः ॥ ३-५०-३ ॥
'As the king of the Nishadhas, he was devoted to the welfare of the Brahmanas, well-versed in the Vedas, and possessed of great heroism.' ॥ 3-50-3 ॥
