तद वै सर्वं पाण्डुपुत्रा लभन्तां; यत तद राजन्न अतिसृष्टं तवयासीत एष धर्मः परमॊ यत सवकेन; राजा तुष्येन अन परस्वेषु गृध्येत ।। ३-५-७ ।।

sanskrit

'Let the sons of Pandu receive all that was rightfully given to them by you. Indeed, this is the highest morality: a king should be content with what is his own and should never covet the possessions of others.' ।। 3-5-7 ।।

english translation

tada vai sarvaM pANDuputrA labhantAM; yata tada rAjanna atisRSTaM tavayAsIta eSa dharmaH paramò yata savakena; rAjA tuSyena ana parasveSu gRdhyeta || 3-5-7 ||
