मूर्ध्नि चैनम उपाघ्राय देवेन्द्रः परवीरहा अङ्कम आरॊपयाम आस परश्रयावनतं तदा ॥ ३-४४-२१ ॥
'And the lord of the celestials, the slayer of enemies, affectionately inhaled the fragrance of Arjuna's head as he bowed in humility, even lifting him onto his lap.' ॥ 3-44-21 ॥
english translation
mUrdhni cainama upAghrAya devendraH paravIrahA aGkama AròpayAma Asa parazrayAvanataM tadA ॥ 3-44-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसहस्राक्ष नियॊगात स पार्थः शक्रासनं तदा अध्यक्रामद अमेयात्मा दवितीय इव वासवः ॥ ३-४४-२२ ॥
'Seated on the throne of Sakra at the command of the thousand-eyed deity, Arjuna, the son of Pritha, radiated with a brilliance that resembled a second Indra, showcasing his immeasurable energy.' ॥ 3-44-22 ॥

sahasrAkSa niyògAta sa pArthaH zakrAsanaM tadA adhyakrAmada ameyAtmA davitIya iva vAsavaH ॥ 3-44-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः परेम्णा वृत्र शत्रुर अर्जुनस्य शुभं मुखम पस्पर्श पुण्यगन्धेन करेण परिसान्त्वयन ॥ ३-४४-२३ ॥
'Moved by affection, the slayer of Vritra consoled Arjuna, gently touching his beautiful face with his perfumed hands.' ॥ 3-44-23 ॥

tataH paremNA vRtra zatrura arjunasya zubhaM mukhama pasparza puNyagandhena kareNa parisAntvayana ॥ 3-44-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरिमार्जमानः शनकैर बाहू चास्यायतौ शुभौ जया शरक्षेप कठिनौ सतम्भाव इव हिरण्मयौ ॥ ३-४४-२४ ॥
'Gently stroking his two auspicious, long arms, Hardened by the release of arrows, like two golden pillars.' ॥ 3-44-24 ॥

parimArjamAnaH zanakaira bAhU cAsyAyatau zubhau jayA zarakSepa kaThinau satambhAva iva hiraNmayau ॥ 3-44-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवज्रग्रहणचिह्नेन करेण बलसूदनः मुहुर मुहुर वज्रधरॊ बाहू संस्फालयञ शनैः ॥ ३-४४-२५ ॥
'The destroyer of (the demon) Bala, the wielder of the thunderbolt, Slowly and repeatedly struck his arms with his hand, Which bore the mark of grasping the vajra (thunderbolt).' ॥ 3-44-25 ॥

vajragrahaNacihnena kareNa balasUdanaH muhura muhura vajradharò bAhU saMsphAlayaJa zanaiH ॥ 3-44-25 ॥
