कुन्ती मातर महाबाहॊ तवम ईशानः पुरातनः परां सिद्धिम अनुप्राप्तः साक्षाद देव गतिं गतः ॥ ३-४२-३६ ॥
'O mighty-armed son of Kunti, thou art an ancient deity who has already attained the highest success and the stature of a god.' ॥ 3-42-36 ॥
english translation
देवकार्यं हि सुमहत तवया कार्यम अरिंदम आरॊढव्यस तवया सवर्गाः सज्जीभव महाद्युते ॥ ३-४२-३७ ॥
'Yet, O vanquisher of foes, the purposes of the gods remain unfulfilled, and thou must ascend to heaven.' ॥ 3-42-37 ॥
english translation
रथॊ मातलिसंयुक्त आगन्ता तवत्कृते महीम तत्र ते ऽहं परदास्यामि दिव्यान्य अस्त्राणि कौरव ॥ ३-४२-३८ ॥
'Prepare thyself, O hero of great radiance! My celestial chariot, with Matali as thy charioteer, shall soon descend to the earth. Together, we shall journey to the heavenly realms, where I will bestow upon thee all my divine weapons.' ॥ 3-42-38 ॥

तान दृष्ट्वा लॊकपालांस तु समेतान गिरिमूर्धनि जगाम विस्मयं धीमान कुन्तीपुत्रॊ धनंजयः ॥ ३-४२-३९ ॥
'Beholding the protectors of the worlds gathered on the heights of Himavat, Dhananjaya, the son of Kunti, was filled with awe.' ॥ 3-42-39 ॥

ततॊ ऽरजुनॊ महातेजा लॊकपालान समागतान पूजयाम आस विधिवद वाग्भिर अद्भिः फलैर अपि ॥ ३-४२-४० ॥
'Endowed with great energy, he worshipped the assembled Lokapalas with heartfelt words, water, and fruits.' ॥ 3-42-40 ॥
