ततः परतिययुर देवाः परतिपूज्य धनंजयम यथागतेन विबुधाः सर्वे काममनॊ जवाः ॥ ३-४२-४१ ॥

sanskrit

'In return, the celestial beings accepted his offerings and departed. The gods, capable of traversing the cosmos at will and endowed with the swiftness of thought, returned to their respective abodes.' ॥ 3-42-41 ॥

english translation

tataH paratiyayura devAH paratipUjya dhanaMjayama yathAgatena vibudhAH sarve kAmamanò javAH ॥ 3-42-41 ॥

ततॊ ऽरजुनॊ मुदं लेभे लब्धास्त्रः पुरुषर्षभः कृतार्थम इव चात्मानं स मेने पूर्णमानसः ॥ ३-४२-४२ ॥

'That bull among men, Arjuna, filled with joy upon obtaining those celestial weapons, regarded himself as one whose desires had been fulfilled and who stood crowned with success.' ॥ 3-42-42 ॥

english translation

tatò 'rajunò mudaM lebhe labdhAstraH puruSarSabhaH kRtArthama iva cAtmAnaM sa mene pUrNamAnasaH ॥ 3-42-42 ॥
