ऐन्द्रिः सथिरमना राजन सर्वलॊकमहारथः तवरया परया युक्तस तपसे धृतनिश्चयः वनं कण्टकितं घॊरम एक एवान्वपद्यत ।। ३-३९-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'And, O king, that foremost warrior among the three worlds, the son of Indra, with a tranquil mind and steadfast resolve, promptly dedicated himself to ascetic austerities. He ventured alone into that fearsome forest, dense with thorns and brambles.' ।। 3-39-12 ।।

english translation

aindriH sathiramanA rAjana sarvalòkamahArathaH tavarayA parayA yuktasa tapase dhRtanizcayaH vanaM kaNTakitaM ghòrama eka evAnvapadyata || 3-39-12 ||
