मास्माकं कषत्रियकुले जन्म कश चिद अवाप्नुयात बराह्मणेभ्यॊ नमॊ नित्यं येषां युद्धे न जीविका ।। ३-३८-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'Let none of us be born again into the Kshatriya order. I ever bow down to the Brahmanas, who live by their learning and not by warfare.' ।। 3-38-21 ।।

english translation

mAsmAkaM kaSatriyakule janma kaza cida avApnuyAta barAhmaNebhyò namò nityaM yeSAM yuddhe na jIvikA || 3-38-21 ||

नूनं ते भरातरः सर्वे तवत कथाभिः परजागरे रंस्यन्ते वीरकर्माणि कीर्तयन्तः पुनः पुनः ।। ३-३८-२२ ।।

'Certainly, in your absence, your brothers will spend their waking hours recounting and celebrating your heroic deeds over and over again.' ।। 3-38-22 ।।

nUnaM te bharAtaraH sarve tavata kathAbhiH parajAgare raMsyante vIrakarmANi kIrtayantaH punaH punaH || 3-38-22 ||

'Salutations to Dhata (the Creator) and Vidhata (the Ordainer), Go forth in well-being and health. May you have well-being from the atmospheric and earthly [beings], O Bharata, And from the divine beings, as well as from any others who may obstruct [your path].' ।। 3-38-25 ।।
