अथैनाम अन्ववेक्षस्व मृगचर्याम इवात्मनः अवीराचरितां राजन न बलस्थैर निषेविताम ॥ ३-३४-११ ॥
'This forest dwelling of yours, O king, resembles that of a wild animal and is something only a weak person would endure.' ॥ 3-34-11 ॥
english translation
यां न कृष्णॊ न बीभत्सुर नाभिमन्युर न सृञ्जयः न चाहम अभिनन्दामि न च माद्री सुताव उभौ ॥ ३-३४-१२ ॥
'Certainly, no man of strength would choose such a life. Your way of living is not endorsed by Krishna, nor by Vibhatsu, nor by Abhimanyu, nor by the Srinjayas, nor by myself, nor by the sons of Madri.' ॥ 3-34-12 ॥
english translation
भवान धर्मॊ धर्म इति सततं वरतकर्शितः कच चिद राजन न निर्वेदाद आपन्नः कलीब जीविकाम ॥ ३-३४-१३ ॥
'Burdened by your vows, you constantly cry 'Religion! Religion!' Has despair so diminished your manliness?' ॥ 3-34-13 ॥
english translation
दुर्मनुष्यां हि निर्वेदम अफलं सर्वघातिनाम अशक्ताः शरियम आहर्तुम आत्मनः कुर्वते परियम ॥ ३-३४-१४ ॥
'The wicked, unable to harm others, Frustrated in their destructive efforts, Incapable of harming their enemies, Turn their cruelty upon themselves.' ॥ 3-34-14 ॥
english translation
स भवान दृष्टिमाञ शक्तः पश्यन्न आत्मनि पौरुषम आनृशंस्य परॊ राजन नानर्थम अवबुध्यसे ॥ ३-३४-१५ ॥
'You have the ability and insight to see that true manliness resides within us. Why, then, do you fail to recognize that compassion is of great value and not without purpose?' ॥ 3-34-15 ॥
