उत्थानम अभिजानन्ति सर्वभूतानि भारत परत्यक्षं फलम अश्नन्ति कर्मणां लॊकसाक्षिकम ॥ ३-३३-६ ॥
'Among mobile creatures, humans alone strive to shape their destiny in this world and the next through their actions. Driven by the influences of their past lives, all beings visibly reap the fruits of their deeds in this world.' ॥ 3-33-6 ॥
