जङ्गमेषु विशेषेण मनुष्या भरतर्षभ इच्छन्ति कर्मणा वृत्तिम अवाप्तुं परेत्य चेह च ।। ३-३३-५ ।।

'Similarly, those who perform rituals or incantations with their statues experience the effects of such actions. Therefore, O Yudhishthira, it seems that the nature of a creature's life is shaped by the actions performed in its previous lives.' ।। 3-33-5 ।।

english translation

jaGgameSu vizeSeNa manuSyA bharatarSabha icchanti karmaNA vRttima avAptuM paretya ceha ca || 3-33-5 ||
