नात्माधीनॊ मनुष्यॊ ऽयं कालं भवति कं चन सरॊतसॊ मध्यम आपन्नः कूलाद वृक्श इव चयुतः ॥ ३-३१-२६ ॥
'Man, being dependent on the Universal Soul, cannot act independently for even a moment. Enveloped in the constraints of ignorance, creatures cannot control their own fortune or misfortune.' ॥ 3-31-26 ॥
