इन्द्रेण निषधान पराप्य गिरिप्रस्थाश्रमे तदा छन्नेनॊष्य कृतं कर्म दविषतां बलनिग्रहे ॥ ३-२९९-११ ॥
'Indra, for instance, once dwelt in concealment in the hermitage at Giriprastha, in Nishadha, and by doing so, achieved his objective.' ॥ 3-299-11 ॥

विष्णुनाश्वशिरॊ पराप्य तथादित्यां निवत्स्यता गर्भे वधार्थं दैत्यानाम अज्ञातेनॊषितं चिरम ॥ ३-२९९-१२ ॥
'Before taking birth in the womb of Aditi, Vishnu, for the destruction of the Daityas, spent a long time in concealment, assuming the form of Hayagriva—the Horse-necked one.' ॥ 3-299-12 ॥

पराप्य वामन रूपेण परच्छन्नं बरह्मरूपिणा बलेर यथा हृतं राज्यं विक्रमैस तच च ते शरुतम ॥ ३-२९९-१३ ॥
'And you have heard how, disguised as a dwarf, he used his divine power to deprive Vali of his kingdom.' ॥ 3-299-13 ॥

और्वेण वसता छन्नम ऊरौ बरह्मर्षिणा तदा यत्कृतं तात लॊकेषु तच च सर्वं शरुतं तवया ॥ ३-२९९-१४ ॥
'Likewise, you have also heard how Agni (Hutasana), entering the waters and remaining hidden, accomplished the purpose of the gods.' ॥ 3-299-14 ॥

परच्छन्नं चापि धर्मज्ञ हरिणा वृत्र निग्रहे वज्रं परविश्य शक्रस्य यत्कृतं तच च ते शरुतम ॥ ३-२९९-१५ ॥
'And, O thou who knowest righteousness, thou hast heard how Hari, with the purpose of vanquishing his enemies, entered into Indra’s thunderbolt and remained concealed therein.' ॥ 3-299-15 ॥
