[वै] धर्मेण ते ऽभयनुज्ञाताः पाण्डवाः सत्यविक्रमाः अज्ञातवासं वत्स्यन्तश छन्ना वर्षं तरयॊदशम उपॊपविश्य विद्वांसः सहिताः संशितव्रताः ॥ ३-२९९-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued: "Commanded by the Lord of Justice to spend the thirteenth year in concealment, the high-souled Pandavas—firm in their vows and in truth their strength—sat down before those learned ascetics."' ॥ 3-299-1 ॥
