[य] पुत्र आत्मा मनुष्यस्य भार्या दैवकृतः सखा उपजीवनं च पर्जन्यॊ दानम अस्य परायणम ।। ३-२९७-५१ ।।

'Yudhishthira answered: "A man's son is his very soul; his wife is the friend bestowed upon him by the gods. The clouds—bringers of rain—are his chief support; and charity is his ultimate refuge."' ।। 3-297-51 ।।

[यक्स] धन्यानाम उत्तमं किं सविद धनानां किं सविद उत्तमम लाभानाम उत्तमं किं सवित किं सुखानां तथॊत्तमम ।। ३-२९७-५२ ।।

'The Yaksha asked: "What is the most praiseworthy among all virtues? What is the greatest of a man's possessions? What is the best of all gains? And what is the highest form of happiness?"' ।। 3-297-52 ।।

'Yudhishthira answered: "The highest virtue among all is skill; the greatest possession is knowledge; the finest gain is health; and contentment is the truest form of happiness."' ।। 3-297-53 ।।

'Yudhishthira answered: "The highest duty is to abstain from harm; the sacred rites of the three Vedas always yield their fruit; a controlled mind knows no regret; and bonds with the virtuous remain unbroken."' ।। 3-297-55 ।।
