[कर्ण] अवनिं परमदा गाश च निर्वापं बहु वार्षिकम तत ते विप्र परदास्यामि न तु वर्म न कुण्डले ॥ ३-२९४-६ ॥
'Hearing these words, the Brāhmaṇa said, 'O Brahmana, I will give thee homestead lands, fair maidens, cattle, and fields—but my coat of mail and earrings I cannot part with!'' ॥ 3-294-6 ॥
