नाहत्वा हि महाबाहॊ शत्रून एति करं पुनः सा शक्तिर देवराजस्य शतशॊ ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥ ३-२८६-१६ ॥

sanskrit

'For know this, O mighty-armed one: that dart of the lord of the celestials never returns to the hand that hurls it without slaying enemies by the hundreds and thousands!' ॥ 3-286-16 ॥

english translation

nAhatvA hi mahAbAhò zatrUna eti karaM punaH sA zaktira devarAjasya zatazò 'tha sahasrazaH ॥ 3-286-16 ॥
