[सावित्री] न ते ऽपवर्गः सुकृताद विनाकृतस; तथा यथान्येषु वरेषु मानद वरं वृणे जीवतु सत्यवान अयं; यथा मृता हय एवम अहं विना पतिम ॥ ३-२८१-५१ ॥
'Thus addressed, Savitri said: "O bestower of honors, the boon you have granted me cannot be fulfilled without my husband’s life. Therefore, among all other boons, I ask this — that Satyavan be restored to life! Without my husband, I am as good as dead."' ॥ 3-281-51 ॥
