सुखॊचितम अदुःखार्हं दुरात्मा ससुहृद गणः ईदृशं दुःखम आनीय मॊदते पापपूरुषः ॥ ३-२८-६ ॥

'That evil-souled one, along with his group of friends, Having brought such misery upon us who are accustomed to comfort and undeserving of sorrow, Rejoices, that sinful man.' ॥ 3-28-6 ॥

चतुर्णाम एव पापानाम अश्रुवै नापतत तदा तवयि भारत निष्क्रान्ते वनायाजिन वाससि ॥ ३-२८-७ ॥

'When, O scion of Bharata, thou, clad in deer-skin, didst depart for the forest, not a tear fell from the eyes of those four sinners.' ॥ 3-28-7 ॥

दुर्यॊधनस्य कर्णस्य शकुनेश च दुरात्मनः दुर्भ्रातुस तस्य चॊग्रस्य तथा दुःशासनस्य च ॥ ३-२८-८ ॥

'Duryodhana, Karna, the evil-hearted Sakuni, and that cruel brother of his, fierce Dussasana, showed no sorrow, O king.' ॥ 3-28-8 ॥

इतरेषां तु सर्वेषां कुरूणां कुरुसत्तम दुःखेनाभिपरीतानां नेत्रेभ्यः परापतज जलम ॥ ३-२८-९ ॥

'Except for those wretches, O best of the Kurus, all the other Kauravas, overwhelmed with sorrow, wept bitterly, their eyes brimming with tears!' ॥ 3-28-9 ॥

इदं च शयनं दृष्ट्वा यच चासीत ते पुरातनम शॊचामि तवां महाराज दुःखानर्हं सुखॊचितम ॥ ३-२८-१० ॥

'Beholding this bed and recalling the comforts you once enjoyed, I grieve for you, O king, who are deserving of joy and have been accustomed to every luxury, now brought to such distress.' ॥ 3-28-10 ॥
