सत्कृतं विविदैर यानैर वस्त्रैर उच्चावचैस तथा तं ते वनगतं दृष्ट्वा कस्मान मन्युर न वर्धते ॥ ३-२८-२१ ॥
'Why, O king, does not your anger blaze up upon seeing Bhimasena, who once enjoyed numerous vehicles and fine garments, now living in the woods?' ॥ 3-28-21 ॥
english translation
कुरून अपि हि यः सर्वान हन्तुम उत्सहते परभुः तवत्प्रसादं परतीक्षंस तु सहते ऽयं वृकॊदरः ॥ ३-२८-२२ ॥
'Though capable of slaying all the Kauravas, Vrikodara (Bhima) restrains himself, awaiting your favor.' ॥ 3-28-22 ॥
english translation
यॊ ऽरजुनेनार्जुनस तुल्यॊ दविबाहुर बहु बाहुना शरातिसर्गे शीघ्रत्वात कालान्तकयमॊपमः ॥ ३-२८-२३ ॥
'He endures all this suffering solely because he awaits the fulfillment of your promise! Though Arjuna has but two hands, his prowess in wielding his bow and arrows makes him equal to the thousand-armed Arjuna of yore.' ॥ 3-28-23 ॥
english translation
यस्य शस्त्रप्रतापेन परणताः सर्वपार्थिवाः यज्ञे तव महाराज बराह्मणान उपतस्थिरे ॥ ३-२८-२४ ॥
'Like Yama himself at the end of the Yuga, he is even to his foes. It was by the prowess of his weapons that all the kings of the earth were made to attend upon the Brahmanas at your sacrifice.' ॥ 3-28-24 ॥
english translation
तम इमं पुरुषव्याघ्रं पूजितं देवदानवैः धयायन्तम अर्जुनं दृष्ट्वा कस्मान मन्युर न वर्धते ॥ ३-२८-२५ ॥
'Seeing this tiger among men, Arjuna, honored by gods and demons, Lost in thought, why does your anger not increase?' ॥ 3-28-25 ॥
