चयुताः सम राज्याद वनवासम आश्रिताश; चराम धर्मं नियतास तपस्विनः कथं तव अनर्हा वनवासम आश्रमे; सहिष्यते कलेशम इमं सुता तव ॥ ३-२७९-९ ॥
'Hearing these words, Dyumatsena said, “Deprived of our kingdom, we have taken refuge in the forest, leading disciplined lives devoted to virtue as ascetics. But unaccustomed to such exile, how will thy daughter endure this hardship, dwelling in the sylvan retreat?”' ॥ 3-279-9 ॥
