अप्रदाता पिता वाच्यॊ वाच्यश चानुपयन पतिः मृते भर्तरि पुत्रश च वाच्यॊ मातुर अरक्षिता ॥ ३-२७७-३५ ॥

sanskrit

'A father who does not bestow his daughter in marriage incurs reproach. A husband who fails to unite with his wife in her season is likewise blamed. And a son who does not protect his widowed mother is also held in dishonor.' ।। 3-277-35 ।।

english translation

apradAtA pitA vAcyò vAcyaza cAnupayana patiH mRte bhartari putraza ca vAcyò mAtura arakSitA ॥ 3-277-35 ॥
