तस्यासून पावकस्पर्शैः सौमित्रिः पत्रिभिस तरिभिः यथा निरहरद वीरस तन मे निगदतः शृणु ॥ ३-२७३-२१ ॥
'Listen now, O Yudhishthira, as I recount how the valiant son of Sumitra Slew his foe with three winged arrows, blazing with the brilliance and energy of fire!' ॥ 3-273-21 ॥
english translation
tasyAsUna pAvakasparzaiH saumitriH patribhisa taribhiH yathA niraharada vIrasa tana me nigadataH zRNu ॥ 3-273-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएकेनास्य धनुर मन्तं बाहुं देहाद अपातयत दवितीयेन सनाराचं भुजं भूमौ नयपातयत ॥ ३-२७३-२२ ॥
'With one arrow, he severed Indrajit’s arm that wielded the bow, And with the second, he struck down the other arm that had held his arrows, casting it to the ground.' ॥ 3-273-22 ॥

ekenAsya dhanura mantaM bAhuM dehAda apAtayata davitIyena sanArAcaM bhujaM bhUmau nayapAtayata ॥ 3-273-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतृतीयेन तु बाणेन पृथु धारेण भास्वता जहार सुनसं चारु शिरॊ भराजिष्णु कुण्डलम ॥ ३-२७३-२३ ॥
'With the third, radiant and razor-sharp, He struck off his head—graceful in form, Adorned with a fine nose and gleaming earrings.' ॥ 3-273-23 ॥
english translation
tRtIyena tu bANena pRthu dhAreNa bhAsvatA jahAra sunasaM cAru zirò bharAjiSNu kuNDalama ॥ 3-273-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविनिकृत्तभुजस्कन्धं कबन्धं भीमदर्शनम तं हत्वा सूतम अप्य अस्त्रैर जघान बलिनां वरः ॥ ३-२७३-२४ ॥
'Severed of its arms and head, the trunk stood as a terrifying sight. And having vanquished his foe, that foremost of mighty warriors Then struck down the adversary’s charioteer with his arrows.' ॥ 3-273-24 ॥

vinikRttabhujaskandhaM kabandhaM bhImadarzanama taM hatvA sUtama apya astraira jaghAna balinAM varaH ॥ 3-273-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलङ्कां परवेशयाम आसुर वाजिनस तं रथं तदा ददर्श रावणस तं च रथं पुत्र विनाकृतम ॥ ३-२७३-२५ ॥
'The horses pulled the empty chariot back into the city, And Ravana beheld it—his son no longer upon it.' ॥ 3-273-25 ॥

laGkAM paravezayAma Asura vAjinasa taM rathaM tadA dadarza rAvaNasa taM ca rathaM putra vinAkRtama ॥ 3-273-25 ॥
