राघवस तव अभिनिर्याय वयूढानीकं दशाननम बार्हस्पत्यं विधिं कृत्वा परत्यव्यूहन निशाचरम ॥ ३-२६९-६ ॥
'Seeing Ravana advancing with his army arranged in that formation, Rama, adhering to the strategy advised by Brihaspati, arranged his own troops in a counter-formation to oppose the night-dwelling king.' ॥ 3-269-6 ॥

समेत्य युयुधे तत्र ततॊ रामेण रावणः युयुधे लक्ष्मणश चैव तथैवेन्द्र जिता सह ॥ ३-२६९-७ ॥
'Then there, Ravana met and fought with Rama, and likewise, Lakshmana fought with Indrajit.' ॥ 3-269-7 ॥

विरूपाक्षेण सुग्रीवस तारेण च निखर्वटः तुण्डेन च नलस तत्र पटुशः पनसेन च ॥ ३-२६९-८ ॥
'While Sugriva faced Virupaksha, Nikharvata engaged with Tara, Nala fought Tunda, and Patusa confronted Panasa.' ॥ 3-269-8 ॥

विषह्यं यं हि यॊ मेने स स तेन समेयिवान युयुधे युद्धवेलायां सवबाहुबलम आश्रिथ ॥ ३-२६९-९ ॥
'Each warrior, advancing towards his designated foe, fought with him on the battlefield, relying on the strength of his own arms.' ॥ 3-269-9 ॥

स संप्रहारॊ ववृधे भीरूणां भयवर्धनः लॊम संहर्षणॊ घॊरः पुरा देवासुरे यथा ॥ ३-२६९-१० ॥
