तत्रस्थं स तु धर्मात्मा समागच्छद विभीषणः भराता वै राक्षसेन्द्रस्य चतुर्भिः सचिवैः सह ॥ ३-२६७-४६ ॥
'While Rama was on this side of the ocean, the virtuous Vibhishana, the brother of the king of the Rakshasas, came to him, accompanied by four of his counselors.' ॥ 3-267-46 ॥
english translation
tatrasthaM sa tu dharmAtmA samAgacchada vibhISaNaH bharAtA vai rAkSasendrasya caturbhiH sacivaiH saha ॥ 3-267-46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरजिजग्राह रामस तं सवागतेन महामनाः सुग्रीवस्य तु शङ्काभूत परणिधिः सयाद इति सम ह ॥ ३-२६७-४७ ॥
'The noble-hearted Rama received him with a proper welcome. However, Sugriva, harboring doubts, feared that he might be a spy.' ॥ 3-267-47 ॥

parajijagrAha rAmasa taM savAgatena mahAmanAH sugrIvasya tu zaGkAbhUta paraNidhiH sayAda iti sama ha ॥ 3-267-47 ॥

'Meanwhile, the son of Raghu, fully satisfied with Vibhishana due to his sincere efforts and numerous signs of good conduct, honored him with respect.' ॥ 3-267-48 ॥

rAghavasa tasya ceSTAbhiH samyaka ca cariteGgitaiH yadA tattvena tuSTò 'bhUta tata enama apUjayata ॥ 3-267-48 ॥

'He also installed Vibhishana as the ruler of all the Rakshasas, appointed him as his junior counselor, and made him a close friend of Lakshmana.' ॥ 3-267-49 ॥

sarvarAkSasa rAjye cApya abhyaSiJcada vibhISaNama cakre ca mantrAnucaraM suhRdaM lakSmaNasya ca ॥ 3-267-49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविभीषण मते चैव सॊ ऽतयक्रामन महार्णवम ससैन्यं सेतुना तेन मासेनैव नराधिप ॥ ३-२६७-५० ॥
'It was under Vibhishana's guidance, O king, that Rama, along with his entire army, crossed the great ocean by means of that bridge, accomplishing the feat in the span of a month.' ॥ 3-267-50 ॥
