गिरिकूट निभाः के चित के चिन महिषसंनिभाः शरद अभ्रप्रतीकाशाः पिष्ट हिङ्गुल काननाः ॥ ३-२६७-११ ॥
'Some of them appeared like mountain peaks, while others resembled buffaloes. Some had the hue of autumn clouds, and the faces of others were as red as vermilion.' ॥ 3-267-11 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्पतन्तः पतन्तश च पलवमानाश च वानराः उद्धुन्वन्तॊ ऽपरे रेणून समाजग्मुः समन्ततः ॥ ३-२६७-१२ ॥
'Some rose high, others fell down, some leaped about, and some scattered dust, all gathering from various directions.' ॥ 3-267-12 ॥

utpatantaH patantaza ca palavamAnAza ca vAnarAH uddhunvantò 'pare reNUna samAjagmuH samantataH ॥ 3-267-12 ॥

'And that vast monkey army, as immense as the sea at full tide, encamped there at Sugriva's command.' ॥ 3-267-13 ॥

'After the foremost of monkeys had gathered from all directions, the illustrious descendant of Raghu, with Sugriva by his side, set out on an auspicious day, under a favorable constellation, accompanied by that battle-ready host, as if to vanquish all the worlds.' ॥ 3-267-14 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेन वयूढेन सैन्येन लॊकान उद्वर्तयन्न इव परययौ राघवः शरीमान सुग्रीवसहितस तदा ॥ ३-२६७-१५ ॥
'Then the illustrious Raghava (Rama), accompanied by Sugriva, marched forward with that well-arranged army, which seemed to overwhelm the worlds.' ॥ 3-267-15 ॥
