नाध्यवस्यद यदा कश चित सागरस्य विलङ्घने ततः पितरम आविश्य पुप्लुवे ऽहं महार्णवम शतयॊजनविस्तीर्णं निहत्य जलराक्षसीम ।। ३-२६६-५७ ।।

sanskrit

'When no one else was able to determine a way to cross the ocean, I entered into (invoked) my father (the Wind god) and leaped across the great ocean, Which was a hundred yojanas wide, after defeating the water demoness.' ।। 3-266-57 ।।

english translation

nAdhyavasyada yadA kaza cita sAgarasya vilaGghane tataH pitarama Avizya pupluve 'haM mahArNavama zatayòjanavistIrNaM nihatya jalarAkSasIma || 3-266-57 ||
