रक्षितं वालिना यत तत सफीतं मधुवनं महत तवया च पलवगश्रेष्ठ तद भुङ्क्ते पवनात्मजः ।। ३-२६६-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'O best among monkeys, that great and prosperous Madhuvana which was protected by Vali is now being enjoyed by the son of Wind (Hanuman).' ।। 3-266-26 ।।

english translation

rakSitaM vAlinA yata tata saphItaM madhuvanaM mahata tavayA ca palavagazreSTha tada bhuGkte pavanAtmajaH || 3-266-26 ||

'The son of Pavana, along with Angada, the son of Vāli, and the other great monkeys whom you had sent to search the southern region, have returned and are now plundering the great and excellent orchard called Madhuvana.' ।। 3-266-27 ।।

'Hearing of this act of liberty on their part, Sugrīva inferred the success of their mission, for it is only servants who have been crowned with success that can act in this way.' ।। 3-266-28 ।।
