रक्षितं वालिना यत तत सफीतं मधुवनं महत तवया च पलवगश्रेष्ठ तद भुङ्क्ते पवनात्मजः ॥ ३-२६६-२६ ॥
'O best among monkeys, that great and prosperous Madhuvana which was protected by Vali is now being enjoyed by the son of Wind (Hanuman).' ॥ 3-266-26 ॥
english translation
वालिपुत्रॊ ऽङगदश चैव ये चान्ये पलवगर्षभाः विचेतुं दक्षिणाम आशां राजन परस्थापितास तवया ॥ ३-२६६-२७ ॥
'The son of Pavana, along with Angada, the son of Vāli, and the other great monkeys whom you had sent to search the southern region, have returned and are now plundering the great and excellent orchard called Madhuvana.' ॥ 3-266-27 ॥
english translation
तेषां तं परणयं शरुत्वा मेने स कृतकृत्यताम कृतार्थानां हि भृत्यानाम एतद भवति चेष्टितम ॥ ३-२६६-२८ ॥
'Hearing of this act of liberty on their part, Sugrīva inferred the success of their mission, for it is only servants who have been crowned with success that can act in this way.' ॥ 3-266-28 ॥

स तद रामाय मेधावी शशंस पलवगर्षभः रामश चाप्य अनुमानेन मेने दृष्टां तु मैथिलीम ॥ ३-२६६-२९ ॥
'The intelligent and foremost of monkeys then communicated his suspicions to Rāma. And Rāma, from this, also inferred that the princess of Mithila had been seen.' ॥ 3-266-29 ॥

हनूमत्प्रमुखाश चापि विश्रान्तास ते पलवंगमाः अभिजग्मुर हरीन्द्रं तं रामलक्ष्मणसंनिधौ ॥ ३-२६६-३० ॥
'Then Hanuman and the other monkeys, having refreshed themselves, came towards their king, who was staying with Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.' ॥ 3-266-30 ॥
