इत्य उक्त्वा सा पररुदती पर्यशङ्कत देवरम हता वै सत्रीस्वभावेन शुद्धचारित्रभूषणम ॥ ३-२६२-२५ ॥
'Thus addressed, the chaste Sītā, overcome by the natural timidity of women, grew suspicious even of the virtuous Lakṣmaṇa and began to weep bitterly.' ॥ 3-262-25 ॥
