स निश्चित्य ततः कृत्यं सवसारम उपसान्त्व्य च ऊर्ध्वम आचक्रमे राजा विधाय नगरे विधिम ।। ३-२६१-५२ ।।

sanskrit

'Informed of the slaughter of his relatives, Ravana, driven by Fate, remembered Maricha as the one who could slay Rama. Resolving on his course of action, and having made arrangements for the governance of his kingdom, he consoled his sister and set out on an aerial journey.' ।। 3-261-52 ।।

english translation

sa nizcitya tataH kRtyaM savasArama upasAntvya ca Urdhvama Acakrame rAjA vidhAya nagare vidhima || 3-261-52 ||
