शक्रप्रभृतयश चैव सर्वे ते सुरसत्तमाः वानरर्क्ष वरस्त्रीषु जनयाम आसुर आत्मजान ते ऽनववर्तन पितॄन सर्वे यशसा च बलेन च ॥ ३-२६०-११ ॥
'And all the supreme gods, led by Indra, Created children through the finest females among monkeys and bears. These children surpassed their fathers in both fame and strength.' ॥ 3-260-11 ॥
english translation
zakraprabhRtayaza caiva sarve te surasattamAH vAnararkSa varastrISu janayAma Asura AtmajAna te 'navavartana pitRRna sarve yazasA ca balena ca ॥ 3-260-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभेत्तारॊ गिरिशृङ्गाणां शालतालशिलायुधाः वज्रसंहननाः सर्वे सर्वे चौघबलास तथा ॥ ३-२६०-१२ ॥
'They were capable of splitting mountain peaks, wielding weapons made of stones and trees from the Sala and Tala species. Their bodies were as hard as adamant, and they were endowed with immense strength.' ॥ 3-260-12 ॥

bhettArò girizRGgANAM zAlatAlazilAyudhAH vajrasaMhananAH sarve sarve caughabalAsa tathA ॥ 3-260-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकामवीर्यधराश चैव सर्वे युद्धविशारदाः नागायुत समप्राणा वायुवेगसमा जवे यत्रेच्छक निवासाश च के चिद अत्र वनौकसः ॥ ३-२६०-१३ ॥
'They were all skilled in warfare and capable of summoning any amount of energy at will. Equal to a thousand elephants in strength, they were as swift as the wind. Some lived wherever they pleased, while others resided in forests.' ॥ 3-260-13 ॥

kAmavIryadharAza caiva sarve yuddhavizAradAH nAgAyuta samaprANA vAyuvegasamA jave yatrecchaka nivAsAza ca ke cida atra vanaukasaH ॥ 3-260-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवंविधाय तत सर्वं भगवाँल लॊकभावनः मन्थरां बॊधयाम आस यद यत कार्यं यथा यथा ॥ ३-२६०-१४ ॥
'And the revered Creator of the Universe, having ordained all this, instructed Manthara on what she was to do.' ॥ 3-260-14 ॥

evaMvidhAya tata sarvaM bhagavA~la lòkabhAvanaH mantharAM bòdhayAma Asa yada yata kAryaM yathA yathA ॥ 3-260-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा तद्वचनम आज्ञाय तथा चक्रे मनॊजवा इतॊ चेतश च गच्छन्ती वैरसंधुक्षणे रता ॥ ३-२६०-१५ ॥
'Manthara, swift as thought, understood all his words and went about, stirring up conflict wherever she went.' ॥ 3-260-15 ॥

sA tadvacanama AjJAya tathA cakre manòjavA itò cetaza ca gacchantI vairasaMdhukSaNe ratA ॥ 3-260-15 ॥
