पूर्णे वर्षसहस्रे तु शिरॊ छित्त्वा दशाननः जुहॊत्य अग्नौ दुराधर्षस तेनातुष्यज जगत परभुः ।। ३-२५९-२० ।।

sanskrit

'And at the end of a thousand years, the invincible ten-headed one, severing his own heads, offered them into the sacred fire. At this act of his, the Lord of the universe was well pleased.' ।। 3-259-20 ।।

english translation

pUrNe varSasahasre tu zirò chittvA dazAnanaH juhòtya agnau durAdharSasa tenAtuSyaja jagata parabhuH || 3-259-20 ||
