सतां सप्त वदं मित्रम आहुः सन्तः कुलॊचिताः मित्रतां च पुरस्कृत्य पृच्छामि तवाम अहं विभॊ ।। ३-२४६-३५ ।।

sanskrit

'It is said by virtuous people of noble lineage that friendship with the pious is established by walking just seven paces with them. O lord, in the name of that friendship, I ask you...' ।। 3-246-35 ।।

english translation

satAM sapta vadaM mitrama AhuH santaH kulòcitAH mitratAM ca puraskRtya pRcchAmi tavAma ahaM vibhò || 3-246-35 ||
