अन्याय समुपात्तेन दानधर्मॊ धनेन यः करियते न स कर्तारं तरायते महतॊ भयात ।। ३-२४५-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'Vyasa emphasizes that charity must be performed with purity of intent, and only wealth acquired through righteous means should be given away. Ill-gotten wealth, even if donated, cannot free the giver from the cycle of rebirth.' ।। 3-245-32 ।।

english translation

anyAya samupAttena dAnadharmò dhanena yaH kariyate na sa kartAraM tarAyate mahatò bhayAta || 3-245-32 ||
