तस्य दुःखार्जितस्यैवं परित्यागः सुदुष्करः न दुष्करतरं दानात तस्माद दानं मतं मम ॥ ३-२४५-३० ॥

sanskrit

'Therefore, parting with wealth, which is gained through such toil, is exceedingly difficult. Since nothing is harder to practice than charity, I believe that the act of giving surpasses all other virtues.' ।। 3-245-30 ।।

english translation

tasya duHkhArjitasyaivaM parityAgaH suduSkaraH na duSkarataraM dAnAta tasmAda dAnaM mataM mama ॥ 3-245-30 ॥
