तपसॊ हि परं नास्ति तपसा विन्दते महत नासाध्यं तपसः किं चिद इति बुध्यस्व भारत ।। ३-२४५-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'Nothing surpasses asceticism, for through asceticism, one attains immense rewards. Know this, O Bharata—there is nothing beyond the reach of asceticism.' ।। 3-245-16 ।।

'Truth, sincerity, freedom from anger, justice, self-control, restraint of the senses, absence of malice, guilelessness, purity, and the discipline of the senses—these, O mighty monarch, elevate and sanctify a person of virtuous deeds.' ।। 3-245-17 ।।

'Foolish individuals, devoted to vice and base ways, are reborn into wretched existences and never attain true happiness.' ।। 3-245-18 ।।
