एता वाचः शुभाः शृण्वन सुहृदां भरतर्षभ परविवेश पुरं हृष्टः सववेश्म च नराधिपः ॥ ३-२४३-६ ॥

'Hearing such pleasing words from his friends, that monarch, O bull of the Bharata race, filled with delight, entered the city and then his own abode.' ॥ 3-243-6 ॥

अभिवाद्य ततः पादौ मातापित्रॊर विशां पते भीष्मद्रॊणपृपाणां च विदुरस्य च धीमतः ॥ ३-२४३-७ ॥

'Then, O king, after worshipping the feet of his father, mother, and others, including Bhishma, Drona, Kripa, and the wise Vidura.' ॥ 3-243-7 ॥

अभिवादितः कनीयॊभिर भरातृभिर भरातृवत्सलः निषसादासने मुख्ये भरातृभिः परिवारितः ॥ ३-२४३-८ ॥

'Being honored in return by his younger brothers, that joy of the Bharatas, seated himself on an excellent throne, surrounded by them.' ॥ 3-243-8 ॥

तम उत्थाय महाराज सूतपुत्रॊ ऽबरवीद वचः दिष्ट्या ते भरतश्रेष्ठ समाप्तॊ ऽयं महाक्रतुः ॥ ३-२४३-९ ॥

'The son of the charioteer, rising, spoke: "By good fortune, O foremost of the Bharata race, your mighty sacrifice has come to a close. But when the sons of Pritha have been slain in battle, and you have completed the Rajasuya sacrifice, then, O lord of men, I shall honor you once again in this manner."' ॥ 3-243-9 ॥

हतेषु युधि पार्थेषु राजसूये तथा तवया आहृते ऽहं नरश्रेष्ठ तवां सभाजयिता पुनः ॥ ३-२४३-१० ॥

'O best among men (Narasreshtha), when the sons of Pritha (Parthas/Pandavas) are slain in battle, and when you have performed the Rajasuya sacrifice, I shall honor you again.' ॥ 3-243-10 ॥
