शेषास तु पाण्डवा राजन नैवॊचुः किं चिद अप्रियम दूतश चापि यथावृत्तं धार्तराष्ट्रे नयवेदयत ॥ ३-२४२-१६ ॥

'But, O king, the other Pandavas did not speak anything unpleasant. The messenger, upon his return, related to Dhritarashtra's son all that had transpired.' ॥ 3-242-16 ॥

english translation

zeSAsa tu pANDavA rAjana naivòcuH kiM cida apriyama dUtaza cApi yathAvRttaM dhArtarASTre nayavedayata ॥ 3-242-16 ॥

अथाजग्मुर नरश्रेष्ठा नानाजनपदेश्वराः बराह्मणाश च महाभागा धार्तराष्ट्र पुरं परति ॥ ३-२४२-१७ ॥

'Then came to the city of Dhritarashtra many eminent men, lords of various regions, and highly virtuous Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-242-17 ॥

athAjagmura narazreSThA nAnAjanapadezvarAH barAhmaNAza ca mahAbhAgA dhArtarASTra puraM parati ॥ 3-242-17 ॥

ते तव अर्चिता यथाशास्त्रं यथा वर्णं यथाक्रमम मुदा परमया युक्ताः परीत्या चापि नरेश्वर ॥ ३-२४२-१८ ॥

'And duly received in accordance with the ordinance, those lords of men were filled with great delight and satisfaction.' ॥ 3-242-18 ॥

te tava arcitA yathAzAstraM yathA varNaM yathAkramama mudA paramayA yuktAH parItyA cApi narezvara ॥ 3-242-18 ॥

धृतराष्ट्रॊ ऽपि राजेन्द्र संवृतः सर्वकौरवैः हर्षेण महता युक्तॊ विदुरं परत्यभाषत ॥ ३-२४२-१९ ॥

'That foremost of monarchs, Dhritarashtra, surrounded by all the Kauravas, experienced the pinnacle of joy and spoke to Vidura, saying.' ॥ 3-242-19 ॥

dhRtarASTrò 'pi rAjendra saMvRtaH sarvakauravaiH harSeNa mahatA yuktò viduraM paratyabhASata ॥ 3-242-19 ॥

यथासुखी जनः सर्वः कषत्तः सयाद अन्नसंयुतः तुष्येच च यज्ञसदने तथा कषिप्रं विधीयताम ॥ ३-२४२-२० ॥

'Do thou, O Kshatta, act swiftly so that all those in the sacrificial compound may be served with food, refreshed, and made content.' ॥ 3-242-20 ॥
