जहि सौभं सववीर्येण ये चात्र रिपवॊ मम इत्य उक्त्वा भुजवीर्येण तस्मै पराहिणवं रुषा ॥ ३-२३-३१ ॥
'Destroy the Saubha (a powerful celestial chariot) with your full might, and also those enemies of mine who are present here." Having said this, I threw it at them with great force and anger.' ॥ 3-23-31 ॥
english translation
रूपं सुदर्शनस्यासीद आकाशे पततस तदा दवितीयस्येव सूर्यस्य युगान्ते परिविष्यतः ॥ ३-२३-३२ ॥
'As it soared into the sky, it shone like a second sun, its radiance overwhelming at the end of the Yuga.' ॥ 3-23-32 ॥
english translation
तत समासाद्य नगरं सौभं वयपगतत्विषम मध्येन पाटयाम आस करकचॊ दार्व इवॊच्छ्रितम ॥ ३-२३-३३ ॥
'Approaching the now dimmed city of Saubha, the discus cut through it as effortlessly as a saw slices through a tall tree.' ॥ 3-23-33 ॥
english translation
दविधाकृतं ततः सौभं सुदर्शन बलाद धतम महेश्वर शरॊद्धूतं पपात तरिपुरं यथा ॥ ३-२३-३४ ॥
'Shattered by the energy of Sudarsana, the city fell, akin to Tripura being destroyed by Maheswara's shafts.' ॥ 3-23-34 ॥
english translation
तस्मिन निपतिते सौभे चक्रम आगत करं मम पुनश चॊद्धूय वेगेन शाल्वाल्येत्य अहम अब्रुवम ॥ ३-२३-३५ ॥
'After the fall of Saubha, the discus returned to my hand. I seized it once more and, with renewed force, hurled it again, commanding, ‘Go forth and seek out Salwa.’' ॥ 3-23-35 ॥
