एवमादि तु कौन्तेय शरुत्वाहं सारथेर वचः तत्त्वम एतद इति जञात्वा युद्धे मतिम अधारयम ॥ ३-२३-२६ ॥
'O son of Kunti, having heard the words of the charioteer, and knowing this to be the truth, I resolved my mind for battle.' ॥ 3-23-26 ॥
english translation
वधाय शाल्वराजस्य सौभस्य च निपातने दारुकं चाब्रुवं वीर मुहूर्तं सथीयताम इति ॥ ३-२३-२७ ॥
'For the purpose of destroying Shalva, the ruler of the Saubha, and bringing down his chariot, I instructed Daruka, saying: 'Stay for a moment.'' ॥ 3-23-27 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽपरतिहतं दिव्यम अभेद्यम अतिवीर्यवत आग्नेयम अस्त्रं दयितं सर्वसाहं महाप्रभम ॥ ३-२३-२८ ॥
'O hero, I instructed Daruka to hold on for a moment and then drew my favorite celestial weapon, blazing with irresistible force and energy, onto my bowstring. This weapon, capable of penetrating anything and bursting with brilliance, was aimed at annihilating the chariot of precious metals and all the enemies within it.' ॥ 3-23-28 ॥

यक्षाणां राक्षसाणां च दानवानां च संयुगे राज्ञां च परतिलॊमानां भस्मान्त करणं महत ॥ ३-२३-२९ ॥
'In the battle, it turned the Yakshas, Rakshasas, Danavas, and even the hostile kings into ashes.' ॥ 3-23-29 ॥

कषुरान्तम अमलं चक्रं कालान्तकयमॊपमम अभिमन्त्र्याहम अतुलं दविषतां च निबर्हणम ॥ ३-२३-३० ॥
'I invoked the flawless and razor-sharp Chakra, which was comparable to the Destroyer of Time (Yama), the unparalleled weapon for destroying my enemies.' ॥ 3-23-30 ॥
