अथ वा सायुधा वीरा मनुनाभिपरिप्लुताः सहिता बद्धनिस्त्रिंशा दहेयुः शस्त्रतेजसा ॥ ३-२२८-११ ॥

'With her ascetic merit, she will undoubtedly consume you, or perhaps, those mighty warriors armed with swords and weapons!' ॥ 3-228-11 ॥

atha vA sAyudhA vIrA manunAbhipariplutAH sahitA baddhanistriMzA daheyuH zastratejasA ॥ 3-228-11 ॥

अथ यूयं बहुत्वात तान आरभध्वं कथं चन अनार्यं परमं तः सयाद अशक्यं तच च मे मतम ॥ ३-२२८-१२ ॥

'Nor, if ye seek to harm them through sheer numbers, will that be anything but a great impropriety, for I believe ye shall never succeed.' ॥ 3-228-12 ॥

atha yUyaM bahutvAta tAna ArabhadhvaM kathaM cana anAryaM paramaM taH sayAda azakyaM taca ca me matama ॥ 3-228-12 ॥

उषितॊ हि महाबाहुर इन्द्रलॊके धनंजयः दिव्यान्य अस्त्राण्य अवाप्याथ ततः परत्यागतॊ वनम ॥ ३-२२८-१३ ॥

'For the mighty-armed Dhananjaya, having resided in the heavenly realm and obtained divine weapons, then returned to the forest.' ॥ 3-228-13 ॥

uSitò hi mahAbAhura indralòke dhanaMjayaH divyAnya astrANya avApyAtha tataH paratyAgatò vanama ॥ 3-228-13 ॥

अकृतास्त्रेण पृथिवी जिता बीभत्सुना पुरा किं पुनः स कृतास्त्रॊ ऽदय न हन्याद वॊ महारथः ॥ ३-२२८-१४ ॥

'While unaccomplished in arms, Vivatsu had previously subjugated the entire earth. Now, as a mighty warrior accomplished in arms, will he not be capable of slaying you all?' ॥ 3-228-14 ॥

akRtAstreNa pRthivI jitA bIbhatsunA purA kiM punaH sa kRtAstrò 'daya na hanyAda vò mahArathaH ॥ 3-228-14 ॥

अथ वा मद्वचॊ शरुत्वा तत्र यत्ता भविष्यथ उद्विग्नवासॊ विश्रम्भाद दुःखं तत्र भविष्यति ॥ ३-२२८-१५ ॥

'Or, if in compliance with my words, you proceed carefully and reach that place, you will not be able to live there in peace due to the anxiety arising from a state of constant mistrust.' ॥ 3-228-15 ॥

atha vA madvacò zarutvA tatra yattA bhaviSyatha udvignavAsò vizrambhAda duHkhaM tatra bhaviSyati ॥ 3-228-15 ॥
