ये सम ते नाद्रियन्ते ऽऽजञां नॊद्विजन्ते कदा च न पश्यामस ताञ शरिया हीनान पाण्डवान वनवासिनः ॥ ३-२२६-११ ॥

'Let us, therefore, O king, go and observe the sons of Pandu—those who are now stripped of prosperity, those who never followed commands, and those who never yielded to subjugation!' ॥ 3-226-11 ॥

ye sama te nAdriyante ''jaJAM nòdvijante kadA ca na pazyAmasa tAJa zariyA hInAna pANDavAna vanavAsinaH ॥ 3-226-11 ॥

शरूयन्ते हि महाराज सरॊ दवैतवनं परति वसन्तः पाण्डवाः सार्धं बराह्मणैर वनवासिभिः ॥ ३-२२६-१२ ॥

'It has been heard by us, O monarch, that the Pandavas are now living on the banks of the lake called Dwaitavana, along with a multitude of Brahmanas, making the wilderness their home.' ॥ 3-226-12 ॥

zarUyante hi mahArAja sarò davaitavanaM parati vasantaH pANDavAH sArdhaM barAhmaNaira vanavAsibhiH ॥ 3-226-12 ॥

स परयाहि महाराज शरिया परमया युतः परतपन पाण्डुपुत्रांस तवं रश्मिवान इव तेजसा ॥ ३-२२६-१३ ॥

'Go thither, O king, in all your prosperity, and scorch the sons of Pandu with a sight of your glory, like the Sun scorching everything with his hot rays!' ॥ 3-226-13 ॥

sa parayAhi mahArAja zariyA paramayA yutaH paratapana pANDuputrAMsa tavaM razmivAna iva tejasA ॥ 3-226-13 ॥

सथितॊ राज्ये चयुतान राज्याच छरिया हीनाञ शरिया वृतः असमृद्धान समृद्धार्थः पश्य पाण्डुसुतान नृप ॥ ३-२२६-१४ ॥

'Thyself a sovereign, and they divested of sovereignty; thyself in prosperity, and they stripped of it; thyself possessing affluence, and they in poverty—behold now, O king, the sons of Pandu.' ॥ 3-226-14 ॥

sathitò rAjye cayutAna rAjyAca chariyA hInAJa zariyA vRtaH asamRddhAna samRddhArthaH pazya pANDusutAna nRpa ॥ 3-226-14 ॥

'Let the sons of Pandu behold you, like Yayati, the son of Nahusha, accompanied by a large train of followers and enjoying great bliss.' ॥ 3-226-15 ॥
