तम उग्रपाशॊ वरुणॊ भगवान सलिलेश्वरः परिवार्य शनैर याति यादॊभिर विविधैर वृतः ।। ३-२२१-११ ।।

sanskrit

'And Varuna, the revered lord of waters, bearing his fearsome Pasa (noose), and surrounded by countless aquatic creatures, moved slowly with the trident.' ।। 3-221-11 ।।

english translation

tama ugrapAzò varuNò bhagavAna salilezvaraH parivArya zanaira yAti yAdòbhira vividhaira vRtaH || 3-221-11 ||

hk transliteration

पृष्ठतॊ विजयस्यापि याति रुद्रस्य पट्टिशः गदामुसलशक्त्याद्यैर वृतः परहरणॊत्तमैः ।। ३-२२१-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'Behind the trident Vijaya, the Pattisa (battle-axe) of Rudra followed, guarded by maces, balls, clubs, and other formidable weapons.' ।। 3-221-12 ।।

english translation

pRSThatò vijayasyApi yAti rudrasya paTTizaH gadAmusalazaktyAdyaira vRtaH paraharaNòttamaiH || 3-221-12 ||

hk transliteration

पट्टिशं तव अन्वगाद राजंश छत्रं रौद्रं महाप्रभम कमण्डलुश चाप्य अनु तं महर्षिगणसंवृतः ।। ३-२२१-१३ ।।

sanskrit

'And the battle-axe was followed by the radiant umbrella of Rudra, the water-pot carried by the great sages.' ।। 3-221-13 ।।

english translation

paTTizaM tava anvagAda rAjaMza chatraM raudraM mahAprabhama kamaNDaluza cApya anu taM maharSigaNasaMvRtaH || 3-221-13 ||

hk transliteration

तस्य दक्षिणतॊ भाति दण्डॊ गच्छञ शरिया वृतः भृग्वङ्गिरॊभिः सहितॊ देवैश चाप्य अभिपूजितः ।। ३-२२१-१४ ।।

sanskrit

'Riding behind all of them, Rudra advanced in his white chariot, accompanied by Bhrigu, Angiras, and other sages, reassuring the gods as he displayed his divine powers.' ।। 3-221-14 ।।

english translation

tasya dakSiNatò bhAti daNDò gacchaJa zariyA vRtaH bhRgvaGgiròbhiH sahitò devaiza cApya abhipUjitaH || 3-221-14 ||

hk transliteration

एषां तु पृष्ठतॊ रुद्रॊ विमले सयन्दने सथितः याति संहर्षयन सर्वांस तेजसा तरिदिवौकसः ।। ३-२२१-१५ ।।

sanskrit

'Behind them, Rudra stands on a spotless/pure chariot, Moving forward and delighting all, With his radiant energy, he illuminates the inhabitants of the three worlds.' ।। 3-221-15 ।।

eSAM tu pRSThatò rudrò vimale sayandane sathitaH yAti saMharSayana sarvAMsa tejasA taridivaukasaH || 3-221-15 ||
