उपाघ्राति च यॊ गन्धान रसांश चापि पृथग्विधान उन्माद्यति स तु कषिप्रं स जञेयॊ राक्षसॊ गरहः ॥ ३-२१९-४९ ॥
'The spirit, by whose influence a man perceives sweet odors and tastes various flavors (when no such substances are present), and soon becomes tormented, is called the Rakshasa spirit.' ॥ 3-219-49 ॥
