हिरण्यवर्णभद्रं ते लॊकानां शंकरॊ भव तवया षष रात्रजातेन सर्वे लॊका वशीकृताः ।। ३-२१८-६ ।।

sanskrit

'O best of the gods, though you were born only six days ago, the entire world has already pledged allegiance to you, and you have dispelled their fears.' ।। 3-218-6 ।।

english translation

hiraNyavarNabhadraM te lòkAnAM zaMkarò bhava tavayA SaSa rAtrajAtena sarve lòkA vazIkRtAH || 3-218-6 ||

'Therefore, may you become the Indra (lord) of the three worlds and remove their cause of apprehension.' ।। 3-218-7 ।।

[सकन्द] किम इन्द्रः सर्वलॊकानां करॊतीह तपॊधनाः कथं देव गनांश चैव पाति नित्यं सुरेश्वरः ।। ३-२१८-८ ।।

'Skanda replied, "O you, endowed with great ascetic wealth, tell me what Indra does with all three worlds and how the sovereign of the celestials continually protects the hosts of gods without pause."' ।। 3-218-8 ।।

[sakanda] kima indraH sarvalòkAnAM karòtIha tapòdhanAH kathaM deva ganAMza caiva pAti nityaM surezvaraH || 3-218-8 ||

[रसयह] इन्द्रॊ दिशति भूतानां बलं तेजॊ परजाः सुखम तुष्टः परयच्छति तथा सर्वान दायान सुरेश्वरः ।। ३-२१८-९ ।।

'The Rishis replied, "Indra is the giver of strength, power, offspring, and happiness to all beings. When pleased, the Lord of the celestials grants all the desires of those who seek him."' ।। 3-218-9 ।।

[rasayaha] indrò dizati bhUtAnAM balaM tejò parajAH sukhama tuSTaH parayacchati tathA sarvAna dAyAna surezvaraH || 3-218-9 ||

'He destroys the wicked and fulfills the desires of the righteous; the Destroyer of Vala assigns the various duties to all creatures.' ।। 3-218-10 ।।
