असूर्ये च भवेत सूर्यस तथाचन्द्रे च चन्द्रमाः भवत्य अग्निश च वायुश च पृथिव्य आपश च कारणैः ॥ ३-२१८-११ ॥

sanskrit

'He serves the purposes of the sun and the moon in places where there is neither sun nor moon. When needed, he acts for fire, air, earth, and water.' ॥ 3-218-11 ॥

english translation

asUrye ca bhaveta sUryasa tathAcandre ca candramAH bhavatya agniza ca vAyuza ca pRthivya Apaza ca kAraNaiH ॥ 3-218-11 ॥
