उग्रं तच च महावेगं देवानीकं महाप्रभम विचित्रध्वजसंनाहं नाना वाहन कार्मुकम परवराम्बर संवीतं शरिया जुष्टम अलंकृतम ।। ३-२१६-४ ।।

'And with the object of slaying Mahasena, Sakra marched forward with a terrible celestial army, resplendent with splendor. Their war cries echoed loudly, and they were equipped with various standards, armored warriors, numerous bows, and riding diverse creatures. When Mahasena saw the glorious Sakra, adorned in his finest attire and advancing with the intent to destroy him, he, too, moved forward to face the leader of the celestials.' ।। 3-216-4 ।।

ugraM taca ca mahAvegaM devAnIkaM mahAprabhama vicitradhvajasaMnAhaM nAnA vAhana kArmukama paravarAmbara saMvItaM zariyA juSTama alaMkRtama || 3-216-4 ||
